Young Scientists in Action: Explore, Experiment, Discover!

Science comes alive when students learn by doing! Our Grade 6 students stepped into the Science Laboratory for a hands-on learning experience filled with questions, experiments, and discoveries.

From testing food items for the presence of vitamins and identifying the best thermal insulator to finding directions with a suspended magnet, creating a simple electromagnet, and exploring how shape affects the strength of paper, each experiment offered a new opportunity to investigate scientific concepts.

With the required materials at hand, students performed the experiments, observed the results, discussed their findings, and drew conclusions. These activities helped them connect classroom learning with real-life applications while developing a deeper understanding of scientific principles.Grade 6 students at NPS OMR building a simple electromagnet, testing how the shape of paper affects its strength, and working together in the science lab

The session encouraged teamwork, curiosity, careful observation, critical thinking, and problem-solving. By exploring questions and discovering answers through experimentation, students experienced how science helps us understand the world around us.

At NPS OMR, we believe that meaningful learning happens when students are encouraged to question, explore, and think independently. The Science Laboratory provided the perfect space for our young scientists to turn curiosity into discovery and make learning engaging, practical, and memorable.
