Value Education Event | EMOQUEST
The Atrium at NPS OMR was filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments on 26 September 2026, as Grade 1 students and their parents came together for EMOQUEST, the first Value Education event of the academic year. Held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, the session gave families an opportunity to explore emotions, understand one another better, and strengthen their bonds through shared experiences.

The morning began with a warm welcome from the Principal, who introduced the session and highlighted the importance of emotional understanding in a child’s growth. She then welcomed Ms. Neha Phull, a certified executive and life coach with over 15 years of experience, who guided families through an engaging and thoughtful experience.
Parents and children participated enthusiastically in a series of activities designed to make conversations about feelings easier and more meaningful. Family Bingo helped everyone feel comfortable and connected, while The Emotion Meter Challenge emerged as a favourite, encouraging families to recognise and express different emotions together.
The activity Watch and Learn: Real Children, Real Parents, Real Big Feelings invited parents to observe how children identified their feelings and how adults responded when those feelings were expressed.
It offered an opportunity to reflect on the importance of listening with patience and understanding.
The Family Reflection Circle gave parents and children a welcoming space to share their thoughts, listen to one another, and strengthen their connection.
A specially arranged photo booth featuring different emotions gave families a chance to capture memories from the morning. Parents also shared heartfelt testimonials about how the session helped them gain a better understanding of their children and their own emotional responses.
Refreshments and friendly conversations added to the relaxed atmosphere before the event concluded with a joyful group photograph.
EMOQUEST was a meaningful step towards building emotional awareness and stronger family relationships. The session reminded everyone that helping children understand their feelings begins with empathy, open communication, and patient listening.
At NPS OMR, such experiences complement classroom learning by encouraging emotional well-being and essential life skills from an early age.
