A Burst of Sunshine: Celebrating Orange Colour Day in Pre-Primary at NPS OMR!

At our school NPS OMR, we celebrated Orange Colour Day with boundless joy and excitement! The entire day was planned to help our little learners explore and enjoy the warm and vibrant colour orange. From the moment the children stepped into school, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, energy, and a brilliant splash of sunshine orange all around.

The children came dressed in beautiful orange outfits – orange dresses, shirts, t-shirts, and adorable little accessories! It was a delightful sight to see our tiny tots proudly wearing the colour of enthusiasm, creativity, and happiness. The classrooms and corridors were decorated with orange balloons, paper pumpkins, oranges, and sunflowers to set the perfect mood for the day. Our teachers also joined in the celebration by wearing orange and adding to the fun.

One of the main attractions of the day was our creatively designed Orange Photo Booth. Crafted with love and care, this cheerful booth became an instant favourite spot for all the children. They took turns posing with fun props, getting their pictures clicked, which brought wide smiles and lots of giggles. The photo booth helped create special memories that the children will treasure for a long time.

To further enhance the experience, the children brought orange-coloured snacks in their tiffin boxes. From orange slices and carrots to cheesy snacks and orange cupcakes – the snack time turned into a mini orange food festival! Teachers encouraged children to talk about what they had brought. This simple activity helped them relate the colour to real-life objects and also encouraged healthy eating habits.

Another exciting part of the day was the Orange Object Hunt – a fun-filled game where children were asked to find and collect orange-coloured objects from around the room. With bright eyes and eager hands, they searched for orange toys, blocks, and pictures. This game not only made them cheer with excitement but also helped in developing their observation and sorting skills.

Throughout the day, teachers engaged students in various orange-themed activities, singing rhymes about the colour, and identifying orange objects. A fun show and tell activity was organized where each child brought an orange object from home. The children confidently came forward to show their item and speak a few lines about it. This activity helped to build their speaking skills, boosted confidence, and made learning about the colour orange more interactive and enjoyable. All these hands-on experiences ensured that the concept of the colour was understood in a joyful and meaningful way.

The celebration of Orange Colour Day was a huge success as it provided an opportunity for experiential learning through play and creativity. It was a day of learning, laughter, and togetherness. Our young learners went home with a better understanding of the colour orange and fond memories of a fun and colourful day at school.

We look forward to many more such colourful days to help our children explore, learn, and enjoy the wonderful world of colours
